the most important topic of the present and the future is this artificial intelligence.
we call the machine’s intelligence cleansing artificial intelligence. and the intellect is the ability to acquire and apply knowledge. machine knowledge is machine learning. learning and applying the two at the same time is artificial intelligence.
we’ve seen in movies or science fiction that robots become very powerful. it destroys people. some robots work for the benefit of humans. the brains of these robots are artificial intelligence. robots without artificial intelligence are like ordinary inanimate matter. it’s not that we need robots for artificial intelligence. the smartphone in our pocket, there are many apps with a lot of artificial intelligence in it.
steps of artificial intelligence:
artificial intelligence programs can be divided into three steps.
ANI or Artificial Narrow Intelligence or Weak AI. ANI programs are experts in a specific task. For example, the program that can play chess, he can play chess best. There’s nothing he can do if he’s allowed to do anything else. Like if he’s allowed to play ludo, he can’t. If you ask young children to do something difficult, the way they look, the program will look at you exactly the way they look.
AGI or Artificial General Intelligence: The second stage of artificial intelligence is AGI. It is also known as strong AI, or human-level AI. In this step, the computer will be able to think like a human being, plan like a human being, solve problems, suddenly see the surroundings in a new environment, it will gain the ability to adapt to the environment.
ASI or Artificial Super Intelligence: The third stage of artificial intelligence. When a computer is more intelligent than a human being, we will call it artificial super-intelligence. Researchers are now worried about what will happen if artificial super-intelligence systems are created, whether people will be good or bad.
Scientists are now very worried about whether we will stay or not after reaching Artificial Super Intelligence. Whether we live or not, everything will change when we reach ASI. We can figure out how to use all the energy in the world. Maybe I can get out of the earth and go to other planets easily. We can move the universe.
what stage are we at?
We are still in the Artificial Narrow Intelligence phase. All the programs we see or use are ANI programs. Google Search Engine, Self-Driving Car, Flight Control, Nuclear Project Control, and other complex systems are all ANI programs. They are skilled in a specific task. You can’t do anything else outside of that work.
In 1997, IBM’s Deep Blue computer program lost the grandmaster of chess. Which was an intelligent program. That was a great achievement of artificial intelligence.
In March this year, the AlphaGo program lost to the world champion of the Go Board game. It’s a much bigger achievement than the first one. Because in the game of chess, about 25 possible moves can be given to give the next move from each position. In the go game, 200 moves can be given. Which move to give, as easily as people can think, is not so easy for a computer. Apart from this, the game of chess is a logical game. You can play with logic. But the go game has to be played intelligently. People have to think the way they think.
IBM Watson also lost two champions of the American quiz show Jeopardy in 2011.
IBM Watson is by far the most successful intelligent program. It developed at first and asked questions to answer. Jeopardy’s two birth champions began to beat the champions. IBM Watson can now be used in many places. This program can be used in different places like data analysis, education, treatment, etc. IBM Watson helps doctors to take care of cancer treatment. In addition, about 90% of lung cancer nurses work on the basis of the discipline given by IBM Watson. The best part of this program is that the more it is used, the more the system will continue to improve.
Anyone using the Watson API can create intelligent software. It’s not free though!
To us, personal assistant science fiction seems like a story, but now a lot of work can be done with a personal assistant. If you ask him anything, he will answer. You can communicate with the computer by talking to products like Amazon’s Echo or Google Home. As seen in science fiction movies. There were stories before, but now things are real.
the humanoid robot:
The robots we see like humans in movies are called humanoid robots. The best humanoid robot so far is Honda’s ASIMO robot. Boston is also working on dynamic military-grade robots. Their robots are very strong. The humanoid robot open to all is NAO. It is programmable. You can purchase it and modify it on your own. Setting up a program like IBM Watson on it will work like Google Home or Amazon Echo.
The most interesting robot is the self-assembled robot. For those who have watched the big hero movie, microbots are shown there. Small robots. Which can take any form together. After watching the movie a few days ago, now I see that such a robot is actually being worked on. and succeeded. MIT’s Self Assembly Lab is working on such a robot. And made great microbots.
when nanotechnology advances a lot, it will be possible to cure any disease in the human body with these self-assemble robots. viruses in the body? microbots will enter the blood cells and destroy the viruses. there will be no disease like cancer.
it’s not that robots look like humans. robots can be like anything. a lot of work in the industry is done by robots. from making cars to making mobile chips or processors, things are done with robots.
WE’RE SOLVING A LOT OF PROBLEMS JUST BY USING ANI. WE’VE MADE OUR LIVES A LOT EASIER. WHILE CREATING THESE ANI PROGRAMS, WE DO NOT DIRECTLY TELL WHAT TO DO. WE GIVE SOME EXAMPLES. THEN FROM THAT EXAMPLE, THE PROGRAM DEVELOPS AN ALGORITHM. THEN THE WORK THAT IS ASKED TO BE DONE LATER, DOES IT IN ITS OWN WAY. THAT’S WHAT MACHINE LEARNING IS ALL ABOUT.
all the programs or robots i talked about a while ago, there is a use of machine learning in all of them. for the next two or three years, all the software or apps available will use machine learning.
we’ve used the Prisma app a lot of people. those who didn’t use it, at least saw pictures made with Prisma. what makes ordinary pictures beautiful artistic images? at the core of this app is a deep neural network. which is a method of machine learning. now we have to apply machine learning to do great things.
machine learning’s job market:
up work shares the skill index every four months. now the most growing skill is machine learning! not only in the future but there is also a lot of demand for machine learning even today.
